Reach your potential

In today's stressful world, many teenagers fear failure--and even--succeed. For better or worse they don't want to be left out. They want to be accepted, and just 'fit in'. Such a mindset will lead you nowhere but down the path of mediocrity - and it's nothing to be proud of or satisfied with. As Douglas Malloch aptly wrote:

If you can't be the highway, be the way.

If you can't be a sun, be a star;

It is not by size that you win or you fail-

Be the best at whatever you do!

We all have different talents and different abilities, so don't get me wrong--it's not about being the best--it's about being the best that you personally can be. Hockey great Wayne Gretzky said "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Think about that. If you don't try, you have 0% chance of succeeding! But if you put all your heart into something and work hard, you can do anything you want and you will succeed. And if it turns out your best wasn't good enough--then at least you tried--and there will be no regrets or wondering about 'what could have been'. The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them, into the impossible.

Teaching Moments - Are you frustrated with public school?

Teaching Moments - Are you frustrated with public school?

Join the growing number of parents and teachers!

Fact: Last year, our nation spent $382 billion on education. Over 99% is spent on the "learning environment" - buildings, books, science labs, teachers, sports programs, etc. The other part of the equation - what children can do for their education - is almost completely ignored.

Our focus as concerned adults must be on the other side of the equation – getting children to take more ownership of their education. Will we give them the tools to "step up to the plate" and take positive action on their education?

Set the main goal! But, wait a minute. Aren't they already teaching this in schools? Yes, but there is a significant difference between the way public and private schools teach these important life skills.

Why the difference between public and private schools? Private Schools:

1. Make goal setting and educational ownership a priority. 2. Integrate these principles into the student's educational experience. 3. Students are taught that they are directly responsible for the quality of their education.

4. Goal setting and educational ownership are fundamental to the success of their students and schools.

Government Schools:

1. Teach goal setting as a small part of a larger program. 2. Under great pressure to complete large programs in a given time. 3. Goal setting and educational ownership are not integrated with the school curriculum. 4. Do not teach students how to specifically use goal setting in the classroom.

Did you say "this is my school" in any of the above statements? Many parents cannot afford to send their children to private school, but still want them to have the tools they need to succeed.

Your child will benefit greatly from learning how to set and achieve goals and use these principles in school. When your child takes educational ownership they take personal responsibility for doing something meaningful and positive to change their life. Your child will learn that they play an important role in their education and their future. With educational ownership comes dignity and self-respect.

Do you push your kids too fast? Of course, you want your kids to grow up slower than they are today. You know they are bombarded with negative influences from the internet, radio, TV, MTV, etc However, you realize that your most important job is to teach them how to deal with the world's challenges You want your children to grow up to be honest and caring, responsible, initiative and respectful adults. You want them to develop a positive attitude, overcome their fears and succeed in whatever they want to do. In short, you want it for them and you are willing to sacrifice to help them.

Private schools prioritize goal setting and educational ownership for good reason. This is key to helping a child develop an "I'll make it happen" attitude that will have a positive impact on their school participation, student achievement, character development, attendance, disciplinary issues and test results.

How to save money with a complete guide for parents to choose the best toys for their children?

How to save money with a complete guide for parents to choose the best toys for their children?

Remember what it was like when you were little? What was your main activity? Does it work? Absolutely your main activity was not playing. You don't notice your toys and your parents need where you should provide them. They had to find toys that you wouldn't throw away and believe me, it wasn't easy for them.

You are now a parent and you are in the same position as your parents many years ago. You are looking for toys that your child will love. That's why you must know how to choose the right toy. My parents made a common mistake: they bought me toys they thought were cool. But usually, when they give me a toy, I either find it too tempting or too boring. It wasn't funny for him to see how he would forget the toy he bought me to play with in my closet.

How to know which toys are right for your child?

Just take a closer look to determine your child's favorite activities, skill level, favorite band(s) and movie(s), etc Based on these observations you can get a clue as to what kind of toys your child will like For example, if your kid loves Lord of the Rings movies, I bet he'll love Lord of the Rings toys too…

Now don't just go to the first toy store and buy the first Lord of the Rings toy you can find. Observation is not enough. There are a few other important factors that you should consider. Adding them to the equation helps you ensure that your child will have a lot of fun with the toy you choose to buy.

When choosing toys for your child, you should consider these factors:

O Baby's age - this is very important. If you buy toys that are too advanced for your child's age, there is a chance of him getting injured. Toy manufacturers try to make their products as safe as possible, but if you don't follow their recommendations, your child could be harmed. On the other hand, if you buy toys made for children younger than your child, they will be too boring. It is ideal to choose toys that are clearly designed for your child's age. Below are two articles that will help you choose babies and toys For children

O Baby Gender - As I mentioned above, my parents bought me toys that I thought were girls. I'm a boy, but so are girls. Any details that make the toy more similar to your child than the other gender will make the toy attractive.

O Your child's friends' toys - While your child is playing with his friends, watch to see if he shows interest in any of his partner's toys. If he does, he'll probably want the same toy as his friend.

Sometimes, a child tells his parents which toy he likes or wants, thus saving them a lot of effort. But it doesn't count out. Some children are not very interested in talking to parents unless they really want a specific toy.

O Safety – This is one of the most important things you should consider when deciding which toy to buy for your child. Unfortunately, it is the most neglected. Usually, parents forget to check that the toys they choose for their kids are safe.

O Are toys educational? It's great if the toys you decide on for your child can help him develop new abilities.

And please remember that there is at least 20 years age difference between you and your child. Just because you liked a toy when you were little doesn't mean your child will too. Children of different generations prefer different types of toys.

Make sure you play with your child in a proper way!

When you give your child a toy, don't do it in a "here's your toy. Now go and play with it" way. If you do it this way, that toy won't matter to your child. Try making a game instead. Hide the toy where the child can easily find it and encourage him to find it. Laugh with your baby, find him together... and when he finds a toy, don't let him play alone. Get involved in your child's play. Make it a fun life. Parents are a child's first and best friend.

If you give your child a bad toy, it will be the same as if you didn't give your child any toys at all. Please feel free to browse my site; This will only help you while selecting toys for your baby.

Your main activity was not playing. You don't care about your toys and you should provide them where your parents need them. You are looking for toys that your child will love. Adding them to the equation helps you make sure your child gets the toy you want to buy

FAQ

What are the best criteria to use for selecting toys for children?

Be sure to consider your child's temperament, habits, and behavior whenever you buy a new toy. Even a child who seems advanced compared to other children of the same age should not use toys for older children. Age levels of toys are determined by safety reasons, not intelligence or maturity.

What is the most important factor to consider when choosing toys?

Your child's safety

This is one of the most important concerns when buying a toy. Make sure it does not contain small objects as babies put things in their mouths especially when they are teething.

Why is it important to choose age appropriate toys?

There are many toys and games that enhance and enhance a child's developmental skills and abilities, including physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Choosing the right toy or game can foster independence, creativity and curiosity while exploring problem solving, feelings and social interaction.

What can we do to make children feel better?

What can we do to make children feel better?

Nothing touches the heart of a parent or teacher more than "No one likes me" or "I have no friends." We wish we could do something to ensure the child, not the most well-known, is essentially remembered for the jungle gym games. In fact, there are things we can do to increase their acceptance by the group and make them more accessible to others.

New research shows that all picky babies behave in certain ways. These skills are not innate but can be taught by parents, teachers, and other caring adults. There is a language that some children may not pick up by osmosis but must learn. It has been called a "shorthand" for making friends. More than just being among friends and feeling good, it has many other benefits, including better grades, a healthier body, less stress, and more opportunities to learn social skills. Children who feel they have friends stay in school longer, make wiser decisions and are generally happier.

Parents, teachers, and other caring adults: Here are 7 secrets to helping your child become more likable. Teach and model them on a daily basis and you'll see your social circle grow.

Look for opportunities to help others. Studies show that helpfulness correlates more strongly than other traits with likability. Teach them to be aware of other people's needs and to offer help spontaneously before they ask for it.

Find something that makes you feel special and urge your kid to track down an action, leisure activity, or interest that they truly appreciate. They don't need to succeed at it, simply appreciate it. Do you enjoy drama, dance, or railroading? Join a group of enthusiasts.

Say "hello" first and smile. People who smile are considered nice and approachable. Friendly and optimistic people act as magnets to others. Have you ever been mad at someone who smiled at you or said hi?

Don't stand out from the crowd. Whether we like it or not, kids are judged by their looks. Attempt to assist them with fitting in socially.

Don't take it personally. Help your child understand that someone else can have a bad day and not be mad or dislike them. Teach them that people care less about us than we think.

Watch your body language. Verbal communication is the language of information. Body language is the language of relationships open, well-disposed, and anxious to participate and make companions. Stand upstanding and take a gander at people without wincing. Regard others' space by not standing excessively close.

Putting on style

Whatever you do, remember that today's media-savvy, celebrity-obsessed kids want to look good. Children start taking interest in their hairstyles at an early age; Even the kindergarten set wants to be in style. They want their hair to look like their best friend or a television character. Boys who were once seen wearing only ball caps are now getting their hair bleached and highlighted.

Finding the right hairstyle for a baby is usually about finding a cool, fun, and easy-to-manage baby hairstyle that suits your child's active lifestyle. But you may feel resistance - as children grow up, they tend to have very specific opinions about how they want to wear their hair. This hairstyle preference can be seen in childhood and continues into adolescence and adulthoodMany developing kids will contend with their folks about how they need to wear their hair at school. Hair becomes a major identifying factor at this stage of development.

Hair care 101

The key is to be encouraged; As children begin to take an interest in their hair and how they style it, it's time to encourage them to follow a thorough regimen of hair hygiene. Tips for tip-top hair

Wash - Use a mild shampoo, preferably in the baby's favorite color or scent. Sometimes kids are more willing to wash their hair with funky shampoo, especially if it doesn't irritate their eyes.

Combing / Brushing – Try to build trust and reassurance by allowing them to comb and brush their hair on their terms. Don't brush your baby's hair the traditional way 100 times before bed - this will overstimulate the sebaceous glands and make the hair greasy and heavy. A quick brush is enough to remove tangles. Combing hair improves shine and condition. Be sure to use a comb on wet hair instead of a brush or you run the risk of building up static electricity, which leads to breakage.

Accessories - Give your child a high-quality comb and brush and teach them proper hair care techniques to develop good grooming habits that will last a lifetime. Buy some "hair-friendly" clips and hair ties to keep the baby's hair away from their face and reduce the chance of tangling or matting. Stay away from hair clips with sharp teeth, as they can cut and damage the hair.

Confusion - All parents know that dealing with a disorder is a nightmare for both parent and child. Here's how to ease the trauma of a breakup:

1. Grab the section of hair you like

How To Find The Right GOOD FRIEND, GREAT LIFE!

11 Methods Of GOOD FRIEND, GREAT LIFE!

About two years ago, in one of my high school math classes, I met this incredibly down-to-earth girl (let's call her Sarah), but she always seemed sad.

Only later when I started talking to him did I find out why and I was shocked: he always goes out with the wrong people and some of them rape him.

When I was in high school, I developed a habit of always looking at people and how they reacted to things. I like to look at people when I'm walking, when I'm talking and when I'm eating. I don't know why I do it, but I guess it's my curiosity to understand different characteristics of people.

About two years ago, in one of my high school math classes, I met this incredibly down-to-earth girl (let's call her Sarah), but she always seemed sad. Every day when I had class with her, I would try to look at her when I could see and maybe better understand why she was feeling so down. Only later when I started talking to him did I find out why and I was shocked: he always goes out with the wrong people and some of them rape him.

I was in disbelief. I have a lot of respect for girls and I often get very angry when I find out that other guys misbehave with girls. However, as I continued to talk to him about it, I couldn't believe why he let this happen. He seemed so strong, so focused, so grateful for life, but he let himself hang out with the wrong people.

Life is a series of light and dark. We all want to be in the sun, feel the warmth, that great feeling when you're out in the sun. Sometimes a cloudy storm blocks that light, which makes us feel uneasy and uncomfortable. However, we can always return to the light; We can always remove darkness: light and darkness cannot exist in the same room.

I have this quote hanging in my room and I live it every day: "You are what your friends are." In my life I try to be around positive and successful people because that's who I am. I know this may sound selfish and arrogant, but you have to set high standards for yourself. If you want to lead and achieve, you need to have friends who match your standards. Your values are there to protect you and guide you to success, don't compromise it for anyone or anything else or you will regret it for the rest of your life.

As far as Sarah is concerned, I feel sorry for her and what the boys did to her, but she shouldn't have been there in the first place. He should not constantly be around the same negative people who can do such things. He must understand the power of saying "no". It's not rude to say no to the wrong person sometimes in life, it's not rude at all. If you were driving on the highway and saw a roadblock, you wouldn't try to run over it. You either go around it or move it aside. This is how you should be with your friends: Life is short, you don't have time for people who will let you down or hinder your success.
